He graduated from Druid High School in Tuscaloosa, AL. He completed undergraduate studies at Jackson State University with a B.S. degree in Computer Science and Mathematics. He received a Master’s Diploma in Database Administration from Oracle University in Redwood Shores, California and became a Certified SQL Database Administrator.
LaBrose is a member of Elizabeth Baptist Church. He enjoys investing, fishing, golfing, horseback riding, youth mentoring and various sporting events.
Before becoming a REALTOR®, LaBrose worked at IBM Corporation in various positions from Systems Programmer to Management. In addition, he worked at the two largest database software companies, Oracle Corporation and Sybase Corporation, as a Systems Consultant.
In the late ‘90’s, LaBrose became the small business owner of Hedgemon & Associates, Inc., a database consulting firm that provides database design, development and support services to companies and Hedgemon Investments, Inc., a financial services corporation that provides low-cost financial services to low to moderate income individuals.
LaBrose has over 10 years of product sales experience assisting buyers and sellers in various transactions with professional service while employed at Allstate Insurance, SAP America, Inc., Electronic Healthcare Systems, Inc. and Hoover Toyota, LLC.
LaBrose’s parents are Mr. Levert Hedgemon, Sr. and Mrs. Rosa B. Hedgemon. He has one sister: Mrs. Denitha Lavern (Freddie) Robertson and two brothers: Leverette McCall and Levert (Catherine) Hedgemon, Jr.
He has three sons: LaBaron (Michelle) Hedgemon; LaBrose Hedgemon, II and LaBerte D. Hedgemon. LaBrose has three grandchildren: Alaysia Hedgemon, LaNiyah L. Hedgemon and LaBerte D. Hedgemon, II.
